Having become a famous perfumer, Andrea retained his youthful pseudonym. The name given to him at birth is Andre Cassoti, and Thero is an artistic nickname. That’s what friends call him.
Before Moresque was created in 2015, Casotti worked for CFF SpA. Significant for the perfumer was a meeting with Cindy Guillaume, who was also passionate about perfumes, but more familiar with other side – marketing, distribution, design. The common passion of Cassoti and Guillaume was oriental aromas in all their striking dissimilarity to Italian and French ones. Together they founded brand Moresque, in which Cindy Guillaume took over as CEO, and Andrea “Thero” Casotti was responsible for perfumes. Unlike many other brands that combine oriental aesthetics with European ones, Moresque focuses on the Moorish style, which was not represented in European perfumery before.
