Jean-Marie Fougeres was born in Paris. At the university, she studied chemistry, and later attended the Roure perfume school, after which she went on an internship to Geneva, and from 1987 to 2000 she worked at Givaudan. Since 2000, for two years she has been creating scents for cosmetics and home fragrances at Colgate Palmolive. From 2002 to the present, Jeanne-Marie is warking as a senior perfumer at Technicolor.
Also she enjoys to take part in interesting projects. One of these was the perfume house MDCI Parfums, in which talented masters are invited to create exclusive fragrances. For the brand Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, Jeanne-Marie developed the Bahiana floral composition in a vintage style.
