Lily

Lily is the common English name for flowering plants of the Lilium genus. Lilies mostly grow in temperate northern hemisphere. These plants are typically very tall, anywhere from 60 to 180cm and they are grown for their large fragrant flowers that can be white, yellow, orange, pink, red or purple, marked with spots and strokes. Lily bulbs are edible as root vegetables but they are mainly grown for decorative purposes. There are many different species of Lilium, and some of them are very toxic to cats.
