Lemon verbena

Lemon Verbena is a flowering plant that grows as a 2-3m high shrub. The botanical name of the plant is Aloysia citrodora and it belongs to the verbena family Verbenaceae. The plant has a long glossy leaves that produce a lemon-like scent when rubbed. Lemon Verbena blooms in late Spring or early Summer, when tiny white-lilac flowers appear along the stem. The leaves of the plant are commonly used for flavoring of fish and poultry, for marinades, dressings and various beverages.
