The gurjun (gurjan) is a tree that grows in the wet forests of Southeast Asia. Threes are cultivated by the local populations for their balsam. The oil is obtained from the tree resin through a process of steam distillation. This essential oil is derived from roots and stems or fruits and seeds of this tree.
