Green apple

Apple refers to the fruit of the Malus domestica species of trees, which contains several thousand varieties. Originating in Asia but now grown every continent except Antarctica, this popular fruit is available in a variety of colors and flavors. High in nutritional value, the fruits are consumed raw, cooked, in juice form and fermented for production of cider and vinegar.
