Apricot

Apricot typically refers to the fruit of a small tree, Prunus armeniaca, which is a member of the same subgenus as the Plum. Fruits of the apricot tree are similar in odor and appearance to small peaches, typically orange or golden in color, with a smooth or velvety surface, minimal juice, and a sweet fruit surrounding a single hard-shelled stone.
